How many times have we heard from someone that has taken on a challenge that, even if they only make a difference in one person's life, it will have been worth it.

You would think that perhaps Rudy Llanes, Miami's  Chief of Police would have considered that possibility when putting his face, his reputation, and the reputation of the Miami Police Department on the line by openly embracing a guy who his own detectives believed had committed child molestation against a 12 year old boy.

In a situation where the accusation of wrong doing involves taking advantage of a child, there is an added responsibility, especially if you're a police chief, not to place yourself in a position where even if the odds are 1 in 1000 that an individual is guilty of the charges of child molestation that you would risk the power of your office and your authority by providing such an individual a photo like the one above that could be used as a character reference to allay a child's suspicion.

Every other police department in the United States, and even Florida has managed to conduct successful gun buyback programs without the aide and assistance of "Reverend" Jerome Starling and The Rickia Isaac Foundation.

As for Dr. Dorothy Bengross-Mindinghall, State Senator Cynthia Stafford, Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado and especially Miami City Commissioner Francis Suarez, who was this year's Chairman of the Rickia Isaac Foundation's Annual Banquet, and who was fully aware of the allegations made against him before deciding to take on that task, they have their own mirrors they have to look into every day.
