Mikki Canton has every right to voice her opinion on the Miami Herald's recent decision not to endorse Raquel Regalado, and the Herald has an obligation to print her letter.

What both Mikki and the Herald failed to do though, is reveal that Mikki Canton is also known as Mirta Canton, and under that name she is a very senior member of Mayor Tomas Regalado's staff in charge of managing the city's EB-5 program. It's a job where she gets paid $161, 280.00.

In America, that's known as "full disclosure" and sadly, that's a concept that has never caught on in Miami-Dade County.
