Kudos to Commissioner Russell who led the charge to throw out the RFP and start over again, and to Commissioners Carollo was was on board from the beginnig, and to Commisisoner Suarez who came on board to make the third and critical vote.

Also a big shout out to the members of the Virginia Key Steering Committee, who although they came in late in the game, stood up for the citizens and voiced not only their concerns, but also their own vote recommending that this RFP be reject and the process to start over.

Sometimes the citizens manage to win one, and this was certainly a fight worth winning!
