COULD COLONEL KLINK BECOME CANDIDATE KLINK?

NUMBER 13 - MARCH 30, 2018

It seems that the rumor mill is up and running at full steam over the possibility that Miami's latest City Manager is just a wolf in sheep's clothing, and that all of the zippy-do-bullshit associated with his changes in management and procedures at City Hall are really about burnishing his image for a possible runs for the County Commission seat currently held by Bruno Barrerio.

If you've been paying attention, you'll recall that I mentioned that the Colonel might be operating with a personal agenda a couple newsletters back, and if you follow the Colonel's Twitter account, most of Colonel Klink's focus and attention, and most definitely his photographed walk-arounds have occurred within the boundaries of the county's District 5.

Also, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to realize that it only takes a couple months inside the belly of the beast that passes for municipal government in the City of Miami, to realize that you're dealing with a hydra-headed monster and levels of corruption and double-dealing that has yet to end well for any of the last 4 Managers:

Regalado refused to extend Carlos Migoya's 1 year - $1 offer, by paying him a real salary, and so Migoya walked..

Tony Crapp Jr., lasted 6 months before he too bailed rather than continue to be in the middle of the fight between Regalado and former Police Chief Miguel Exposito.

Johnny "The Doormat" Martinez, ended up with a heart attack and a stroke.

Danny Alfonso, survived 2 attempts by the City Commission to fire him, before getting his walking papers from Francis Suarez.

City Managers don't last long in Miami.

The only surprise is that it's only taken Colonel Klink a couple months to decide that instead of being called City Manager he'd prefer being called Commissioner.

The key now is who else wants to jump into this race, and whether or not the Colonel actually decides to believe all those folks whispering in his ear will come through with the money he'll need for his campaign.

One definite reason to run is that if he can become a County Commissioner then he can fuck with Carlos Gimenez for the remainder of his term, and that alone would probably be enough to get both Xavier and Francis Suarez holding fundraisers from now to election day.

The plotting, scheming and double-dealing that goes on in Miami is the stuff of Shakespeare.

It's Miami, Bitches!

NUMBER 14 - APRIL 5, 2018

HERE'S A VIDEO OF MIAMI COPS ON THE STREET DEALING WITH GUY THAT OBVIOUSLY DIDN'T WANT TO GO TO JAIL

This incident happened a few days ago, and the only information that I have gotten about is is that the cops were called to deal with this guy who was alleged to be trespassing, and as he walked out the door of the store he supposedly gabbed a couple items.
