JAVIER ORTIZ CELEBRATES THE COMPLETION OF HIS PUNISHMENT FOR POSTING PHOTOS OF PRISONERS ON A RACIST WEBSITE

NUMBER 32 - MAY 17, 2018

Along with several of his FOP buddies, including his BFB Edward "I was asleep in the back seat" Lugo, Javier Ortiz celebrated the end of his punishment duty assignment at motorcycle school ordered by Chief Jorge "Brylcream makes my dick stand up too" Colina, by going to Washington D.C., where it was rumored that he and his FOP pals got a private meeting with none other than El Presidente Donald Trump, who quick to recognize a fellow racist, scumbag congratulated Ortiz for showing those 'nasty illegal immigrants in Miami,' whose running things.

This taxpayer group is actually not a grassroots effort by citizens who are tired of being screwed by the politicians, but rather it's a group that was formed, and is supposedly being financed by the owners of other local shopping malls who understandably don't like the kind of competition that this American Dream Mall would bring, and so they ponied up some money and hired themselves some lobbyists to fight on their behalf.

From the record, it seems that they are on their 2nd round of lobbyists, and surprise, surprise, it turns out that those lobbyists - other than Jeffrey Bercow - all turn out to be partners and/or directors at LSN Partners, including Jesse Manzano, who was the campaign manager for both Carlos Gimenez and Francis Suarez's races for  Mayor, and is now Suarez's campaign manager for his referendum drive to become strong mayor.

THE USUAL SUSPECTS CONTINUE TO SHOW UP AT COUNTY HALL PULLING STRINGS BEHIND THE CURTAIN WHILE THE POLITICIANS STAND AROUND WITH ONE THUMB STUCK UP THEIR ASS AND SUCKING ON THE OTHER ONE, AND HOPING THAT THEY'RE NOT CAUGHT SWITCHING HANDS IN PUBLIC

You will recall that on April 23rd, I wrote in Part I of my series, The Politics Of Money, that a housewife from Bronx named Marina Ghermezian, had donated $10,000 to Francis Suarez's political committee, Miami's Future, Inc., in the waning days of his campaign for Mayor.

I also revealed that she was the wife of Don Ghermezian, the president of Triple Five, the company currently trying to get the county commission's approval to build the American Dream Mega Mall.

A lot has been written about this effort and all the problems and benefits that it will supposedly bring to Miami, which to get those message across required the assistance of high priced lobbyists.

The biggest anti-mall group to pop up has been a the group called the South Florida Taxpayer Alliance, which in true Miami form, sent out a negative text message alleging that the Ghermezian family - there are 5 brothers who make up the Triple Five - were trying to get taxpayer money.

I first wrote about the folks at LSN Partners in Part I of my Politics Of Money series after it was revealed that Alexander Heckler, Marcelo Llorente and Jesse Manzano had been on the trade mission to China with Mayor Carlos Gimenez.

It was the ability to connect Jesse Manzano and Michael Llorente - who used to be Francis Suarez's Chief of Staff during his first term as a City Commissioner - to lobbying clients that they shared, that interested me, because in a very short period of time these guys seem to have managed to make their way to the top layer of the local lobbyist food chain.

Proof of that is that on top of all the other connections that have been revealed between these guys and Carlos Gimenez, it turns out that a sign that they, like courtiers at the Cuban Court of Carlos II have been recognized as being close to the king, is their inclusion on the invite as major donors and Vice Chairs of the 19th Annual Mayor's Ball. (For a complete list of all of the big money donors and usual suspects at County Hall to this event, click HERE.)

While Alexander Heckler and Marcelo Llorente are listed as Vice Chairs, you can bet the whole LSN Partners gang will be there, because $750 for a ticket is chump change for lobbyists in this town, and even though it might appear that Chairman Bovo is expressing some displeasure at the "misinformation campaign" being waged by the LSN team in furthering their client's agenda, you can bet that after a nice meal, a couple drinks, and a spin around the dance floor, everybody will be smiling and hugging and telling each other what fine human beings they all are, and that no matter what, at the end of the day the real taxpayers are going to get screwed because screwing the taxpayers is what these people specialize in.

MEANWHILE, BACK IN THE REAL WORLD, HERE ARE SOME NUMBERS ON THE AFFORDABLE HOUSING CRISIS IN MIAMI-DADE COUNTY

Here are some numbers put together by local group, Struggle For Miami's Affordable and Sustainable Housing, that perhaps focus your attention on an issues that the politicians and the lobbyists only give lip service to when it requires them to sound concerned about those less fortunate in the community who can't afford a $750 ticket to hob nob with the Mayor.

And please spare me the hypocritical bullshit that the money raised after expenses - one never mentions the expenses involved, even after the tax write-offs when it comes to these charity balls -  will be going to United Way.
